As we are planning a trip to South Africa next spring I thought I should post some images from my last trip. This is mostly on safari in Tanzania with a few images from Kenya. Hired a driver which was so much better than an organized tour. Up before dawn and out at dusk – best time to get wildlife images. Visited one small village but mostly just out on safari. Started in Kenya and then followed the great migration through the Serengeti in Tanzania.

The Ngorongoro Crater and following the great migration across the Serengeti. The Ngorongoro is a volcanic caldera that is 610 metres deep and its floor covers 260 square kilometres (100 sq miles). Approximately 25,000 animals live in the crater. Over two million wildebeest, zebras and gazelles move through the Serengeti and Masai Mara ecosystems. Predators follow.

The following are from various locations around Kenya and Tanzania.
