Fall hiking can be the best in the Rocky Mountains. It can be warm or you can get snow – you just take your chances as the weather can change in a heartbeat! Crypt Lake in Waterton National Park is one of those unique hikes that you should do at least once. You have to take a boat to the trailhead, then hike up through a tunnel and alongside waterfalls to get to a high alpine lake. Spectacular hike! We had perfect weather and the next day for our hike to Goat Lake we had snow!
